BORN IN THE CITY OF BROTHERLY LOVE AND RAISED IN THE LONE STAR STATE, CHARLIE HAS ALWAYS APPROACHED LIFE WITH A PASSION FOR FAMILY, FRIENDS AND HARD WORK. HE STARTED COLLEGE AS A COMPUTER SCIENCE MAJOR, BUT GOT BIT BY THE ACTING BUG HIS JUNIOR YEAR, AND ENDED UP WITH A THEATER DEGREE. HE PURSUED THAT CAREER TO NEW YORK AND LA, WHERE HE ACTED IN EVERYTING FROM SHAKESPEARE TO IMPROV COMEDY SKETCHES, UNTIL A FRIEND INTRODUCED HIM TO EDITING AND HIS TRUE CALLING CAME INTO FOCUS. HE HAD FINALLY FOUND THE PERFECT COMBINATION OF HIS TECHNICAL AND CREATIVE PURSUITS, AND JUMPED IN WITH BOTH FEET. THAT WAS 2001. HIS ODYSSEY LED HIM FROM RUNNER TO ASSISTANT TO EDITOR OVER THE COURSE 5 YEARS. IN 2006 HE CUT HIS FIRST SHORT, HIS FIRST FEATURE AND HIS FIRST STAND ALONE SPOT. WINNING AWARDS FOR 2 OUT OF THOSE 3 PROJECTS, HIS CAREER CHOICE WAS CONFIRMED AND HE NEVER LOOKED BACK. HE MOST RECENTLY PARTNERED UP WITH VSA PARTNERS AND SLICED UP 11 SPOTS FOR CLEVELAND CLINIC’S “POWER OF TODAY” CAMPAIGN. OTHER NOTABLE PROJECTS INCLUDE 180LA’S “WELCOME TO THE NEW NORMAL” FOR MITSUBISHI (CREATIVITY SPOT OF THE DAY), AND 3 SPOTS FOR W+K’S JEEP “THE THINGS WE MAKE, MAKE US" CAMPAIGN, AS WELL AS NUMEROUS SPOTS FOR SAATCHI, CRISPIN AND SANDERS WINGO. A FEW ACCOLADES WORTH MENTIONING ARE A SILVER CLIO IN 2011 FOR THE PSA “FROGGY,” BEST FEATURE AND AUDIENCE CHOICE AWARD AT THE 2008 SANTA MONICA FILM FESTIVAL FOR "A LINE IN THE SAND," BEST SHORT FILM AT THE 2006 ADCRITIC “NO SPOT” FILM FESTIVAL FOR NEIL BLOMKAMP’S "TEMPBOT," AND HE WAS A FINALIST IN THE 2006 FIRST BOARDS AWARDS FOR EMERGING EDITORS.
